Kurdish CPR Project
Mission:
The Kurdish cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) videos, completed in both Bahdini and Sorani, are bystander CPR videos translated from English and created to teach the Kurdish community how to do hands-only CPR. The hands-only version is found to be effective, COVID-19 pandemic-friendly, and easier for a wide demographic to learn and practice.
CPR is a basic life skill that anyone can learn to help potentially save a life. A staggering 90% of people who experience cardiac arrests outside of the hospital pass away, and this percentage can be directly reduced by performing CPR (American Heart Association). These Kurdish CPR videos are the first of their kind and we hope that the Kurdish community benefits from them. Please feel free to share the videos with your family and friends so we can collectively contribute to developing this skill in community members.
